A Tour in Time
Wolf Creek, OR - Step back in time and join the townspeople of Golden for a Tour in Time, September 16th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free to this one-day event featuring the Josephine History Players, gold panning, old time crafts, and music. The Wolf Creek Volunteer Fire Department will sell hamburgers and hot dogs.
Learn history from the townspeople themselves as portrayed by living history players and help celebrate the recent purchase of the ghost town by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. Newly christened as a State Heritage Site, Golden will be under the care of the Valley of the Rogue Management Unit.
The ghost town of Golden is 3 miles east of Wolf Creek on Coyote Creek Road. Take I-5 exit #76 and follow signs to parking. For more information call Susan 955-8966.
