Stabilizing the church
The church has been identified as the best historic resource at Golden. That is to say, it is in the best condition and would benefit most from immediate protection so that it can continue to be used. With donations from the Meyer Memorial Trust, Kinsman Foundation, and Fourway Community Foundation work is under way to build a new foundation, protect the steeple and provide safer access through improved stairs and entrance way. The work is a balance of protecting historic integrity and providing safety and functionality.
Plans for other buildings on site include similar safety and stabilization improvements.
